The short answer
Eversong Woods is where Midnight Herbalism starts. The client tunes it for levels 80 to 83, the lowest band of the four outdoor zones, and it is the home of Lightfused herbs: golden, oversized nodes that the client says yield extra resources and release motes of holy energy. Herbalists report all five base herbs here, so the zone can feed any recipe. On today's prices, Azeroot at 17 gold64 silver for Silver is the herb to fly toward, Gold Argentleaf at 37 gold is the best single herb if your Gold share is high, and every Lightfused node is worth a detour for the extra herbs and the
Mote of Light it gives. We have not walked a timed route here yet, so there is no rate on this page.
The zone at a glance

Eversong Woods: Levels 80-83, Eastern Kingdoms, Zone ID 15968
| Fact | Value | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Zone id | 15968 | client data |
| Level range | 80 to 83 | client content tuning |
| Continent | Eastern Kingdoms | client data |
| World map | 2395 | client data |
| Infused herb type | Lightfused | gathering spell text |
| Zone mote | Mote of Light | gathering spell text and item data |
| Herbalism trainer | Silvermoon City | Knowledge currency text |
The level band matters for gatherers in two ways. First, every new Midnight character passes through here, so the zone is busy during a levelling wave (the expansion launch, or a rush of fresh alts) and quieter between waves. That is our reasoning from the level band; we have not measured traffic. Second, it is the zone where a brand-new herbalist can pick everything safely. Player guides describe the Midnight version of Eversong as a reworked zone that takes in the old Ghostlands area too, which is why the south of the map feels darker than the gold forests in the north. That last point is a player description, not client data.

Every herb in Eversong, priced live
Herbalists report all five base herbs and the Nocturnal Lotus bonus in Eversong. The client's lore text gives you terrain hints for three of them: Mana Lily near water, Azeroot on or around trees, Sanguithorn tethered to rocks above or below ground.
| Herb | Silver | Gold | Where to look (client text) | Gold over Silver (2026-10-08) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Azeroot | 17 gold64 silver | 34 gold98 silver | on or around trees | about 2.2x |
| Argentleaf | 3 gold82 silver | 37 gold | among common foliage | about 8x |
| Mana Lily | 89 silver | 21 gold68 silver | near bodies of water | about 10x |
| Sanguithorn | 47 silver | 19 gold78 silver | on rocks, above or under ground | about 29x |
| Tranquility Bloom | 2 gold | 2 gold20 silver | everywhere | about 1.3x |
| Nocturnal Lotus | 264 gold96 silver | one grade only | bonus from base herbs (player reports) | not applicable |
How to read this for Eversong. The forest-heavy north is good Azeroot ground if the lore text is right about trees. The rivers that cut through the zone are Mana Lily ground. The rocky south is where Sanguithorn should cluster. Argentleaf grows "among other common foliage", in the client's words, so it turns up everywhere. None of this tells you node counts, because we have not counted them.
Lightfused nodes: the reason to herb here
Our datamine has a short text for Lightfused herbs. Paraphrased: a strange light has begun to affect the herbs of Quel'Thalas, making them large and golden, reminiscent of the Sunwell but twisted. Gathering them releases motes of holy energy that sear if caught, but they yield additional resources. The datamine lists a Lightfused gathering spell for each of the five base herbs: Lightfused Azeroot, Argentleaf, Sanguithorn, Mana Lily and Tranquility Bloom. It also lists Lightfused Refulgent Copper, Umbral Tin and Brilliant Silver for miners, so the effect is zone-wide.
What players describe in game, which we label as player reports rather than data: a Lightfused node stands out from a plain one, motes appear around it when you pick it, and collecting them gives Mote of Light. We have not checked this ourselves. We have not counted how many extra herbs or motes a Lightfused node gives, and we will not guess. For the full breakdown, read our Lightfused herbs guide.
Mote of Light: small price, huge demand
Mote of Light sells for 58 silver, and its vendor price is 20 silver. On 2026-10-08 it was worth about two and a half times its vendor value. That price is low, but the demand is the widest of any Midnight gathering reagent. Our recipe lookup returns 70 recipes that use it, across eight professions:
| Profession | Recipes using Mote of Light | Example (motes per craft) |
|---|---|---|
| Enchanting | 19 | Endless Codex of Blooming Light (20) |
| Leatherworking | 13 | Ranger-General's Grips (20) |
| Tailoring | 12 | Arcanoweave Bracers (12) |
| Inscription | 11 | Darkmoon Dominion: Blood (20) |
| Alchemy | 7 | Transmute: Mote of Wild Magic (10) |
| Jewelcrafting | 6 | Thalassian Phoenix Torque (20) |
| Engineering | 1 | Consistent Cogwheel (1) |
| Skinning | 1 | Lightbloom Diffuser (2) |
Seventy recipes and a price under a gold tells you supply is enormous. Every Eversong gatherer, herbalist or miner, makes motes as a side effect. So do not plan around selling motes. Plan around using them: they appear in profession tools and accessories, including the Sin'dorei Herbalist's Backpack, which needs ten. If you or a friend craft, motes are a free input. If not, sell them in bulk when the strip shows them in the top half of their range.
The other node types you will meet
Eversong's infused type is Lightfused, but the datamine lists Lush versions of every base herb too. The client says Lush herbs "had plenty of resources (or some magical assistance) to grow and thrive", and gathering them yields more than normal. Players report Lush nodes in every zone. The other three infused types belong elsewhere: Primal herbs to Harandar, Wild herbs to Zul'Aman and Void herbs to the Voidstorm, each named in its own gathering text.
How to herb Eversong, step by step
- Learn Midnight Herbalism from the trainer in Silvermoon City if you have not. The Knowledge currency text says the trainer there also offers the quests that earn Herbalism Knowledge.
- Decide your target from the table above. With a low Gold share, target Azeroot. With a high one, Argentleaf and Mana Lily become worth the stop.
- Fly the tree lines for Azeroot, the rivers for Mana Lily, and the rocky edges for Sanguithorn. Pick Tranquility Bloom and Argentleaf as you pass.
- Always take Lightfused nodes. Collect the motes; they stack and feed seventy recipes.
- At the end of a session, sell Gold herbs into the days before a raid reset and keep a stack of Tranquility Bloom for Mulches.
- When you reach 83, compare Eversong with Harandar. Harandar is the zone our Harandar guide builds a flask-herb loop around.

Eversong against the other zones
| Zone | Level range | Infused herb type | What that node does (client text) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Eversong Woods | 80 to 83 | Lightfused | extra resources and motes of holy energy |
| Harandar | 83 to 88 | Primal | an extra Skyriding charge |
| Zul'Aman | 83 to 88 | Wild | spawns hostile herb lashers |
| Voidstorm | 88 to 90 | Void | void-touched herbs from across the Nether |

Harandar: Levels 83-88, Unknown, Zone ID 15355
Eversong's advantage is the Lightfused bonus and the low level band. Its weakness is traffic: it is the zone every new character levels through. If you herb during a levelling wave, expect company. Between waves it should empty out, and the Lightfused nodes become yours.
Which herb to target here, by Gold share
The right target in Eversong depends on how many of your picks land as Gold. Here is the reasoning with 2026-10-08 prices, and you can redo it with the live table at any time.
If your Gold share is near zero, Azeroot is the clear target. Its Silver grade alone was 14 gold25 silver per herb, more than three times Silver Argentleaf and more than twenty times Silver Sanguithorn. Every Azeroot node pays, whatever grade lands.
If your Gold share is around a quarter, Azeroot is still ahead, but Argentleaf starts to matter. A hundred Argentleaf at a 25 percent share were worth about 1,160 gold50 silver, against about 1,867 gold75 silver for a hundred Azeroot. Keep targeting Azeroot and stop for Argentleaf when it is close.
If your Gold share is high, above about 85 percent, Argentleaf finally catches Azeroot per herb, and Gold Mana Lily and Gold Sanguithorn become solid stops too. At that point the herb you find most often is the one to target, and that is a question for a walked route, which we do not have yet.
Tranquility Bloom is never the target, at any share. Its Gold premium is too thin. Pick it for Mulches and alchemy and move on.
What changes between levelling waves
Eversong's position shifts with levelling waves more than any other zone. A patch does not reset anyone's level, so the waves that matter are the expansion launch and any later rush of new alts. During a wave, every new character levels here, so nodes get picked fast and Silver herb prices fall as fresh herbalists sell their first bags. Later, the levellers move on to Harandar, Zul'Aman and the Voidstorm, and Eversong becomes one of the quieter places to gather. Two things follow. If you herb early, aim for Lightfused nodes and Gold herbs, which casual pickers are least likely to produce. If you herb late, Eversong is a strong choice even for a high-level herbalist, because the competition has left and the Lightfused bonus is still there.
Common mistakes in Eversong
Skipping Lightfused nodes because of the motes is the first. The client says the motes sear if caught, but the node still yields extra resources. Pick it and deal with the motes.
The second is leaving Mote of Light in the bank forever. Motes stack, but their price is low and the supply is huge. Either use them in a craft or sell them when the price sits in the top half of its range.
The third is selling Silver Sanguithorn at whatever price is listed. Its Silver grade traded near the vendor value at times in our 14-day window. Check our Sanguithorn guide for when milling or the vendor wins.
Is Eversong Woods worth herbing?
Yes, especially for a new herbalist and especially between levelling waves, when the levellers have moved on. Every base herb is reported here, the Lightfused nodes give extra herbs by the client's own description, and the motes feed seventy recipes. What we cannot give you yet is a rate, because no route has been walked and timed. When it has, this page will carry it. Until then, use the live table above, read the herb pages for Tranquility Bloom, Azeroot and Argentleaf, compare zones in Zul'Aman, and browse the Herbalism hub and the retail guides index.

How this guide was written
Prices on this page are read live from TheWoWDB Auction House tables when the page loads. Item names, icons, zones and art come from our own datamine of the game client. We do not publish gold-per-hour numbers for any route nobody has walked and timed, so where a rate would go this page says so. Read the full method or the about page.
