About the WoW Auction House price tracker

This is a verified-snapshot World of Warcraft Auction House price tool for the current Retail patch, built from Blizzard’s own Auction House API and refreshed roughly every hour. Search any item to see what it sells for right now, how that price has moved over time, and where it is cheapest, without logging into the game or installing an addon.

WoW prices two kinds of items very differently, and the tool handles both. Commodities (herbs, ore, cloth, enchanting materials, potions and other stackable goods) share a single price across an entire region, so a stack of herbs costs the same on every realm in US, EU, KR or TW. Gear, recipes, transmog, mounts and other unique items are priced per realm, which is why the same item can be far cheaper on one server than another. Our cheapest realm finder uses exactly that gap to tell you where to buy.

From here you can dig into the item price guide for any item’s full history, scan the deals board for items currently listed well under their recent median, check herb and material prices for gathering, or track the WoW Token to time your gold. Everything is sourced from the Auction House snapshots we ingest from Blizzard’s API, not estimates or stale screenshots. We currently ingest about once an hour, the interval Blizzard publishes (which it can change without notice).

How often do Auction House prices update?

We pull fresh Auction House data from Blizzard about once an hour, the interval Blizzard currently publishes a new snapshot at (which Blizzard notes can change without notice), so the prices here track the market closely throughout the day, between snapshots.

Why is an item a different price on another realm?

Only non-commodity items (gear, recipes, transmog, mounts, BoEs) are priced per realm; their supply and demand differ server to server. Commodities are region-wide and identical on every realm in your region.
