The short answer
Arcane Wyrmfish is a common fish that does not behave like one. It trades at 41 gold97 silver on the US market, and over the last 14 days it never fell below 24 gold64 silver, the highest floor of any Midnight fish in our history. Two recipes keep it there: the Silvermoon Parade feast takes four, and the Majestic Eversong Lure, a Skinning recipe, takes eight. If you fish in Eversong Woods and catch Wyrmfish, keep every one. It is the most dependable mid-value fish in the expansion: not the highest price on a lucky evening, but the one least likely to collapse when you list it.
The fish
| Measure | Value |
|---|---|
| Quality | common |
| Vendor price | 12 silver50 copper |
| Live price | 41 gold97 silver |
| 14-day low (2026-10-08) | 24 gold64 silver |
| 14-day high (2026-10-08) | 45 gold83 silver |
| Recipes that use it | 2 |
| Wyrmfish for one craft of each recipe | 12 |
The icon in the client is a blue crystalline fish, and the name fits Eversong's arcane theme. The quality is plain common, the same as Lynxfish, which trades at 2 gold89 silver. The gap between those two commons is the whole story of this page.
Who buys Arcane Wyrmfish
| Recipe | Profession | Wyrmfish | Other reagents |
|---|---|---|---|
| Majestic Eversong Lure | Skinning | 8 | 8 Lynxfish |
| Silvermoon Parade | Cooking (feast) | 4 | 4 Lynxfish, 10 Practically Pork, 1 Tavern Fixings, 1 Cooking Spirits, 1 Petrified Root |
Both recipes pair Wyrmfish with Lynxfish, so anyone crafting either one buys both fish. Yet Wyrmfish was worth about fourteen Lynxfish on 2026-10-08. Two reasons stand out. First, Lynxfish has no third use that would set it apart, and it may simply be caught far more often; anglers describe it as a very common catch, though we have not measured that. Second, the lure recipe takes eight of each, so if Wyrmfish is the scarcer of the two, it becomes the bottleneck and its price rises to match.
The Skinning lure
The Majestic Eversong Lure is the heavier sink. It is a Skinning recipe, and skinners describe the Majestic lures as a way to draw out a beast worth skinning for rare parts; we have not confirmed what it summons, so treat that as a player report. On 2026-10-08 its sixteen fish cost about 363 gold52 silver, and the eight Wyrmfish were about 93 percent of that. The prize skinners chase, the Majestic Hide, read 1,736 gold66 silver at the time. As long as that Hide price stays high, skinners will keep buying Wyrmfish for lures, and Wyrmfish will keep its floor. Our Majestic skinning finds guide covers the skinning side.
The feast
Silvermoon Parade takes four Wyrmfish and four Lynxfish per craft. On 2026-10-08 its full bill came to about 541 gold77 silver, and the four Wyrmfish were about 169 gold76 silver of it, roughly 31 percent. The single biggest line was one Petrified Root at about 350 gold54 silver, around 65 percent of the bill. So feast demand for Wyrmfish depends heavily on Petrified Root: when Root is expensive, fewer Parades get cooked. Our feast cost guide has every feast bill side by side.
How Wyrmfish compares with the other mid-value fish
Here is our own comparison of the fish that trade in the same band. The swing column divides each fish's 14-day high by its 14-day low: a small number means a steady price, a large number means a fish that spikes and crashes.
| Fish | Quality | Now | 14-day low (2026-10-08) | 14-day high (2026-10-08) | Swing |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Arcane Wyrmfish | common | 41 gold97 silver | 24 gold64 silver | 45 gold83 silver | 1.9x |
| Gore Guppy | common | 29 gold | 19 gold99 silver | 36 gold14 silver | 1.8x |
| Shimmersiren | uncommon | 33 gold50 silver | 13 gold | 49 gold50 silver | 3.8x |
| Lucky Loa | rare | 18 gold90 silver | 7 gold98 silver | 29 gold45 silver | 3.7x |
| Eversong Trout | rare | 7 gold50 silver | 1 gold26 silver | 15 gold50 silver | 12.3x |
Wyrmfish and Gore Guppy are the two steady earners: both commons, both used by Skinning lures, both with tight ranges. Shimmersiren can sell higher on a good evening, but it has one recipe (Glitter Skewers) and its floor was half of Wyrmfish's. Lucky Loa and Eversong Trout are rare fish with feast demand, but their floors were far lower, and Eversong Trout's swing of more than twelve times means it can be nearly worthless one week and valuable the next.
For an angler deciding what to keep, that table gives a clear order. Wyrmfish first, because its floor is the highest. Guppy second, for the same reason. The others are worth keeping when their live price is high, but they are not safe to hold for long.
Where to fish for Wyrmfish
We have not walked or timed a fishing route, so the notes below come from player reports and the research notes we keep, not from measured catches. Zone levels come from the client's content tuning data.

Eversong Woods: Levels 80-83, Eastern Kingdoms, Zone ID 15968
Eversong Woods (80 to 83) is the zone players connect with Arcane Wyrmfish, alongside Eversong Trout, Lynxfish and Gore Guppy. Player notes describe Eversong as the calm starter fishing zone, with several pool types along its rivers and near the Sunwell side of the map. The Majestic lure that eats Wyrmfish is named after Eversong, which fits.

Harandar: Levels 83-88, Unknown, Zone ID 15355
Harandar (83 to 88) is where most anglers move once they have better gear. Players do not single it out for Wyrmfish, so treat it as the place for Blood Hunter and Lucky Loa rather than for this fish.

How to sell Arcane Wyrmfish
- Sell to skinners. Wyrmfish is 93 percent of a Majestic Eversong Lure's fish bill. When Majestic Hide is expensive, skinners buy lures, and lures need Wyrmfish.
- Use the floor. Its 14-day low was 24 gold64 silver. Below that, hold; it came back every time in our window.
- Bundle the Lynxfish logic. If you catch both, remember that Lynxfish is cheap. List Lynxfish fast and let Wyrmfish wait for a good price.
- List in eights. Both buyer recipes take four or eight. Lots of eight match what a lure crafter needs.
- Never vendor. The vendor pays 12 silver50 copper.
A worked example: what a skinner will pay
It helps to look at Wyrmfish from the buyer's chair. A skinner who wants to make one Majestic Eversong Lure needs eight Wyrmfish and eight Lynxfish. At the prices our tables held on 2026-10-08, that is about 339 gold52 silver of Wyrmfish and 24 gold of Lynxfish. The skinner is betting that the beast the lure draws out will give rare parts worth more than 363 gold52 silver. With Majestic Hide trading near 1,750 gold that same evening, one Hide would cover the lure almost five times over. A Majestic Claw at about 51 gold would not cover it at all.
So the skinner's willingness to pay for your Wyrmfish rests on the Majestic Hide price and on how often a lure produces one, which we have not measured. That gives you one more thing to watch: if Majestic Hide drops a lot, lure crafting slows, and Wyrmfish loses its biggest buyer. If Majestic Hide climbs, the reverse happens, and Wyrmfish has room to rise toward its 14-day high.
The Eversong lure is the dearest of the four
Our datamine has four Majestic lures, one per zone, and each eats a different fish. Pricing all four from the same 2026-10-08 evening reading shows where Wyrmfish sits among them. The last column is our own break-even test: the share of lures that would have to yield one Majestic Hide (at 1,750 gold5 silver that evening) for the fish bill to pay for itself, ignoring every other part the beast might give.
| Lure | Fish per craft | Fish bill (2026-10-08) | Break-even share of lures |
|---|---|---|---|
| Majestic Eversong Lure | 8 Arcane Wyrmfish, 8 Lynxfish | 363 gold52 silver | about 21 percent |
| Majestic Zul'Aman Lure | 8 Gore Guppy | 196 gold | about 11 percent |
| Majestic Voidstorm Lure | 4 Ominous Octopus | 158 gold40 silver | about 9 percent |
| Majestic Harandar Lure | 8 Fungalskin Pike, 8 Tender Lumifin | 64 gold | under 4 percent |
The arithmetic is simple: divide the fish bill by the Hide price. 363 gold52 silver divided by 1,750 gold5 silver is 0.208, so an Eversong lure crafter needs roughly one Hide for every five lures just to cover the fish. A Harandar lure crafter needs about one in twenty-seven. If every lure drew out a similar beast, skinners would favour the cheap Harandar lure and Wyrmfish would lose its lure buyers. That has not shown up in our price history: Wyrmfish held the highest floor of any fish for all 14 days. Either the Eversong beast is worth more, the lure matters for something we cannot see in the data, or Wyrmfish supply is tight. Our tables cannot tell which, so read this table as a signal to watch rather than a prediction. If the Wyrmfish price slides while Fungalskin Pike climbs, that is skinners switching lures.
What to watch on the Auction House
- Majestic Hide. The Skinning lure is Wyrmfish's biggest sink, and Majestic Hide is the prize behind the lure.
- Petrified Root. It is about two thirds of the Silvermoon Parade bill. Cheap Root means more Parades and more Wyrmfish demand.
- Lynxfish. It is the partner fish in both recipes. If Lynxfish ever becomes scarce, the bottleneck moves and Wyrmfish loses some of its edge.
- Patch notes for Eversong. A new pool or a fishing change in the starter zone would shift supply quickly.
Common mistakes
The first mistake is treating Wyrmfish as junk because it is common. It outpriced most rare fish when we checked. The second is listing it alongside Lynxfish at a similar price because the two always come together; they are two different markets. The third is dumping a big stack after a long session. The buyer base is two recipes, and a flood of Wyrmfish can push the price toward its floor for days.
Is it worth fishing for?
If you fish in Eversong Woods, Wyrmfish is the catch that makes the session. It will rarely give you the single biggest payday (that is Blood Hunter or Null Voidfish on a spike evening), but it is the fish most likely to sell at a decent price whenever you list it. The honest gap is the catch rate: we have not logged a timed session, so there is no rate here, only the price, the demand and the decision.
