Riverglades Gathering in WoW Forever: What the New Zone Offers
What the WoW Forever client says about the Riverglades: area ids, 18 subzones with levels 36 to 44, flight paths, and the herbs, ore and cloth that fit its band.
Lowest buyout from player scans of the WoW Forever beta Auction House, as of beta build 70291. Beta prices are a testing economy and will not carry over to launch. Last verified
The short answer
The Riverglades is WoW Forever's new mid-level zone, and nobody has gathered in it with a log running yet, including us. What we can tell you comes from the client files and Blizzard's own description. Blizzard calls it a mid-level zone roughly the size of Stranglethorn Vale with nearly 200 quests. The beta client places it on the Eastern Kingdoms continent as area 16591, with eighteen named subzones whose explore levels run from 36 to 44, and flight paths for both factions. That level band is the iron, mithril, silk and mid-tier herb band of Classic. If the Riverglades follows Classic's pattern, its nodes will be Fadeleaf, Goldthorn, Khadgar's Whisker, iron, mithril and gold, but that is a prediction from levels, not a fact about spawns. The latest beta scans for those materials are below; the beta level cap of 20 to 30 means none of the zone is open to testers yet.
What the client says about the zone
Here is everything the Forever client files tell us about the Riverglades, with nothing added.

Riverglades: Eastern Kingdoms, Zone ID 16591
The eighteen subzones
The client lists each subzone with an explore level, the level the game uses for exploration experience. It is a good guide to how dangerous an area will be.
| Subzone | Area id | Explore level |
|---|---|---|
| Meadowsbrook | 16735 | 36 |
| Southern Watch | 16744 | 36 |
| Wheeler's Grange | 16725 | 36 |
| Bristle Hills | 16737 | 37 |
| Ashwood's Fall | 17808 | 38 |
| Elbrim's Farm | 16734 | 38 |
| Farholde Keep | 16724 | 38 |
| Powderfuse Port | 16727 | 38 |
| Rog'mar | 16743 | 38 |
| Sunnyglade | 16723 | 38 |
| Terral's Watch | 16729 | 38 |
| Turner's Logging Camp | 16736 | 38 |
| Eastwind Shore | 16728 | 40 |
| Windstead | 16731 | 41 |
| Bolder'ok | 16726 | 42 |
| Krol'dok Stronghold | 17780 | 42 |
| Forlorn Pit | 17809 | 44 |
| Twilight's Shroud | 16685 | 44 |
The Forbidding Sea (area 16820) is also listed under the Riverglades with no explore level, which suggests a coastline. The names themselves hint at what the zone looks like: farms and granges at the low end (Meadowsbrook, Wheeler's Grange, Elbrim's Farm), a logging camp, a port, hills, and darker places at the top (Forlorn Pit, Twilight's Shroud). Farms and hills are where Classic tended to put herbs and veins, but we are reading names, not node data.
Flight paths for each faction
Our travel extract lists flight nodes in the Riverglades. The client marks which faction's flying mount each node uses, so we can tell Horde nodes from Alliance ones.
| Flight node | Faction (from the node's mount fields) |
|---|---|
| Rog'mar, Riverglades | Horde |
| Farholde Keep, Riverglades | Alliance |
| Powderfuse Port, Riverglades | both, as two separate nodes |
The extract also carries three older Riverglades nodes prefixed "zzOLD", which look like earlier placements left in the files. Both factions get a port at Powderfuse, and each gets its own base: Rog'mar for the Horde and Farholde Keep for the Alliance. For a gatherer that matters, because the faction base is where you will repair, sell and restock.
What should grow there: the level-band argument
Here is the reasoning, laid out so you can judge it. In Classic Era, gathering nodes followed zone level. A zone whose areas sit at levels 36 to 44 carried the materials for that band. We have no Riverglades node data, so we use the band.
| Material type | Classic level-band match for 36 to 44 | Latest beta scan |
|---|---|---|
| Herb | Fadeleaf | 7 silver |
| Herb | Goldthorn | 29 silver25 copper |
| Herb | Khadgar's Whisker | 2 silver |
| Herb | Kingsblood | 4 silver |
| Herb | Liferoot | 5 silver49 copper |
| Ore | Iron Ore | 5 silver49 copper |
| Ore | Mithril Ore | 9 silver50 copper |
| Ore | Gold Ore | 15 silver90 copper |
| Ore | Truesilver Ore | 18 silver |
| Cloth from humanoids | Silk Cloth | 3 silver67 copper |
| Cloth from humanoids | Mageweave Cloth | 30 silver45 copper |
In Classic, Kingsblood and Liferoot sat a little below this band and Goldthorn and Khadgar's Whisker a little above it, so the edges of the zone could carry either. A coastline (The Forbidding Sea) raises the chance of Stranglekelp, which grew along Classic shores. Again: these are predictions, and the first player to log a Riverglades herb route will settle it.
Why these materials are worth having
If the prediction holds, the Riverglades sits on some of the busiest mid-level demand in Forever. Our extract of the profession tables (build 70124) shows:
| Material | Recipes using it | New in Forever | Main buyers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kingsblood | 17 | 9 | Alchemy 15, Enchanting 1, Leatherworking 1 |
| Goldthorn | 16 | 3 | Alchemy 15, Cooking 1 |
| Fadeleaf | 11 | 6 | Alchemy 9, Cooking 1, Poisons 1 |
| Khadgar's Whisker | 10 | 4 | Alchemy 10 |
| Liferoot | 7 | 4 | Alchemy 5, Cooking 1, First Aid 1 |
| Mithril Bar | 92 | 21 | Blacksmithing 54, Engineering 37, Alchemy 1 |
| Iron Bar | 48 | 16 | Blacksmithing 34, Engineering 10, others 4 |
Kingsblood stands out with nine new recipes, more than any other herb in this band. Mithril stands out among metals with two large buyer professions. Our iron and mithril guide covers the metal side in detail.
Kingsblood moved down the ladder
One detail in the Kingsblood row changes how a Riverglades herbalist should think about timing. In Classic, Kingsblood was a herb alchemists bought from about skill 160 upward. In the Forever tables, six of its nine new recipes sit between skill 80 and 130, and they take two to four Kingsblood each.
| New Kingsblood recipe | Skill range | Kingsblood per craft | Other herbs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lesser Mageblood Elixir | 80 to 85 | 3 | none |
| Lesser Mender's Potion | 85 to 90 | 2 | 2 Liferoot |
| Elixir of Lesser Intellect | 100 to 105 | 3 | none |
| Lesser Cleric's Elixir | 100 to 105 | 2 | 2 Liferoot |
| Elixir of Spirit | 120 to 125 | 1 | 3 Khadgar's Whisker |
| Lesser Arcane Elixir | 125 to 130 | 4 | none |
Add it up: those six recipes take 15 Kingsblood, which is 15 of the 19 Kingsblood that all nine new recipes need, about 79 percent. The arithmetic matters because alchemists reach skill 80 to 130 long before their characters reach a level 36 zone. So the buyers for Riverglades Kingsblood will already be waiting when the first gatherers arrive, and many of them will be alchemists who cannot gather it themselves yet. Two of the six recipes also pair Kingsblood with Liferoot, the other herb that sits just below this band in Classic. If both turn up in the Riverglades, a herbalist there would be holding the full reagent list for the new Lesser Mender and Lesser Cleric line. The live beta strip reads Kingsblood at 4 silver and Liferoot at 5 silver49 copper.
The two items named after the zone
The client already carries two items with the zone in their name.
Riverglades Marsh Gas vendors for 2 silver4 copper. No recipe in our profession extract uses it, so it is most likely a quest item or a container; we will know once someone loots one.- Corrupted Riverglades Pendant is a rare necklace that vendors for 49 silver12 copper. It is gear, not a material, but it confirms the zone has rare-quality rewards.
Neither is a reason to farm the zone today. Both are worth noticing when you first visit.
What the zone is not
It is worth being clear about what the client does not show. There is no zone map image for the Riverglades in the beta files we read, no level range on the zone itself (only on its subzones), and no gathering node data of any kind. There is also no reagent in the profession tables that names the Riverglades. Most new Forever reagents in our extract are tied to the endgame (Heavy Thorium, Fel Crystal, Stranglevine, Pitchblende). The one new material that fits a mid-level band is Pristine Leather, which our leather guide covers; its recipes cluster around skill 100 to 150 and we do not know where it drops. If the Riverglades has a signature material, the recipe data does not say so yet. That makes the zone a classic mid-level gathering zone on paper, valuable because of its band and its traffic, not because of a unique product.
How to approach the zone at launch
- Do not plan around predictions. Arrive with Herbalism or Mining and look. Log what you find for the first hour before committing.
- Use your faction base. Rog'mar for the Horde, Farholde Keep for the Alliance. Powderfuse Port serves both and is a natural meeting point, which also means competition.
- Start at the low subzones. Meadowsbrook, Southern Watch and Wheeler's Grange at explore level 36 are the gentle end. Forlorn Pit and Twilight's Shroud at 44 are the dangerous end.
- Collect cloth as you quest. With nearly 200 quests, most players will be questing here, and humanoids at this level dropped Silk and Mageweave in Classic.
- Price against the strip, not your memory. Forever's recipe tables changed demand for herbs like Kingsblood. Check before you sell.
Nearby zones for comparison
The banners below show the continent art; the beta client has no Riverglades map image yet. In Classic, Stranglethorn Vale, Arathi Highlands and the higher parts of Redridge covered the same level band on the Eastern Kingdoms side.

Not walked yet
No hourly gold figure is published here until this route has been walked end to end with a timer and a full loot log. Until then this page gives you the inputs (live prices and what drops) and leaves the arithmetic to you.
What to watch
- The first node reports. Whoever logs the first Riverglades herb or ore spawns settles which of the predictions above are right.
- Kingsblood and Mithril prices at launch. They have the most new demand in this band.
- Flight path changes. The "zzOLD" nodes show Blizzard moved things during development. Recheck flight points each build.
Is it worth your time?
Today, on the beta, you cannot reach it. At launch, a new mid-level zone with nearly 200 quests means a lot of players will pass through it, and the band it sits in carries real demand for herbs, ore and cloth. The honest position is that the Riverglades is the most promising unknown in Forever gathering. No route has been walked, so this page has no hourly figure, only the client facts, the level-band predictions and the prices behind them.

How this guide was written
Prices on this page are read live from TheWoWDB Auction House tables when the page loads. Item names, icons, zones and art come from our own datamine of the game client. We do not publish gold-per-hour numbers for any route nobody has walked and timed, so where a rate would go this page says so. WoW Forever is in beta: every fact here is labelled with the client build it was read from and can change before launch. Read the full method or the about page.
