Manor Mistmantle in WoW Forever: The New Dungeon's Loot Value
Manor Mistmantle is a new instance in the WoW Forever beta client. What the client contains, what it does not yet, how it compares and what Duskwood pays meanwhile.
The short answer
Manor Mistmantle is a new instance in the WoW Forever beta client, and right now nobody can tell you what its loot is worth, because the client does not contain any loot for it. As of beta build 70291 it is a party-instance map with one area, a placeholder loading screen, no encounters and no dungeon finder entry. Every other new Forever party instance in the client has bosses. Until that changes, the honest answer to "what does Manor Mistmantle drop" is: nothing we can see. What we can tell you is where it almost certainly sits (the Mistmantle name belongs to Duskwood's Stalvan storyline), what the old Mistmantle items sell for, and what Duskwood itself pays while you wait. On 2026-10-08 the beta scans had
Wool Cloth at 55 copper and
Liferoot at 5 silver49 copper, both common Duskwood materials.
What the client actually contains
We read Manor Mistmantle directly out of the beta client's map and area tables. Here is all of it:
| Field | Value in build 70291 |
|---|---|
| Map id | 3109 |
| Map name | Manor Mistmantle |
| Instance type | Party instance |
| Areas on the map | One: area 17191, "Manor Mistmantle" |
| Loading screen id | 4 (the same id used by placeholder maps such as "nothing to see here") |
| Encounters in the encounter table | None |
| Dungeon finder entry | None |
| First seen | Already present in build 70009, the earliest beta build we extracted |
Two details stand out. First, map 3109 has the highest map id of any new Forever map, and its terrain file has the highest file id of the new party instances, which fits a map that was added late. Second, the loading screen id is the generic placeholder value, not a bespoke screen like the ones Ruins of Lordaeron or the Hall of Thanes get. Both point to the same reading: Manor Mistmantle is in the client as a shell, not as a finished dungeon.
How it compares with the other new instances
Forever adds several new party instances, and the contrast makes Mistmantle's state clear. We pulled each one's encounter count and dungeon finder tuning from build 70291:
| New instance | Encounters in the client | Dungeon finder entry | Content tuning level |
|---|---|---|---|
| City of Dalaran | 9 | Yes | 28 |
| Ruins of Lordaeron | 7 | Yes | 15 |
| Excavation Site: Wetlands | 4 | Yes | 26 |
| The Hall of Thanes | 4 | Yes | 13 |
| Manor Mistmantle | 0 | No | none |
Four new instances have bosses, a finder entry and a level. Manor Mistmantle has none of the three. If you are planning a gold farm, the other four are where loot will appear first. Our read is that Mistmantle is either a later addition still in development, a quest or scenario space rather than a loot dungeon, or something cut before launch. We cannot tell which from the client alone.
The Duskwood connection
The Mistmantle name is not new. In Classic, Duskwood's long Stalvan Mistmantle quest chain told the story of a family and a manor. Two items from that story are still in the Forever client:
Mistmantle Family Ring: a quest item, named in the beta client, that cannot be traded.- Orb of Mistmantle (item 13031): an off-hand that is Bind on Equip in the Classic Era client and tied to Stalvan in Classic. The Forever client carries its row without a name. On 2026-10-08 it had two beta listings across two houses at 1 gold22 silver.
That Orb price is the only Mistmantle loot price that exists anywhere right now. It is an old Classic item, not a reward from the new instance, and two listings is not a market. But it tells you something useful: beta players already pay real money for a Duskwood blue at this level. If the new instance ships with tradeable items at a similar level, they will sit in the same price band.

Duskwood: Eastern Kingdoms, Zone ID 10
- Level
- Duskwood is a level 20 to 30 zone in Classic; the beta cap is 20, rising to 30
- Group
- Solo for Duskwood itself; group size for the instance unknown
- Location
- Duskwood, Eastern Kingdoms (instance location not in the client)
- Status
- No encounters or loot in build 70291
What Duskwood pays while you wait
Duskwood sits right in the beta's playable band, so it is a real farming zone today even if the manor is not. In Classic its worgen, spiders and undead dropped cloth and meat, and its graveyards and woods grew Grave Moss, Kingsblood and Liferoot. We have not walked a Forever route here, so the drop sources are the Classic pattern; the prices are beta scans.

| Material | Where it comes from (Classic) | Lowest beta listing on 2026-10-08 | Listed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wool Cloth | Humanoids, including Duskwood's undead | 79 copper | about 8,100 |
| Silk Cloth | Higher level humanoids | 3 silver39 copper | about 4,300 |
| Medium Leather | Skinned worgen and wolves | 1 silver60 copper | about 11,100 |
| Kingsblood | Herb nodes | 4 silver95 copper | about 730 |
| Liferoot | Herb nodes near water | 6 silver98 copper | about 810 |
| Grave Moss | Graveyards | 2 silver | about 460 |
| Crisp Spider Meat | Spiders | 50 copper | about 4,200 |
| Spider's Silk | Spiders | 5 silver | about 500 |
| Lean Wolf Flank | Worgen and wolves | 52 copper | about 460 |
The useful comparison is listings against price. Liferoot and Kingsblood had under a thousand listed each and sold for five to seven silver, while Wool and Medium Leather had eight to eleven thousand listed and sold for under two silver. On the beta, herbs in this band were the scarce, better-paying Duskwood material, and cloth and leather were flooded.

Spider's Silk is the quiet winner among the drops: at 14 silver79 copper with only about 500 listed, one silk was worth more than six Wool Cloth.

A Duskwood money session on the beta
If you came here wanting to make gold around the Mistmantle story right now, Duskwood is the place, and the plan is short. This is built from the Classic zone layout and the beta prices above, not from a timed route.
- Bring Herbalism. Liferoot and Kingsblood were the scarce Duskwood materials on 2026-10-08, and Grave Moss grows in the zone's graveyards.
- Add Skinning if you have a free slot. Medium Leather is flooded, but worgen and wolves are on every road and the leather costs you nothing to pick up.
- Kill spiders when you pass them. Spider's Silk was the best paying drop for its supply, and Crisp Spider Meat sells in bulk to cooks.
- Keep cloth for a tailor alt or sell it in large stacks. With thousands listed, single stacks sit for a long time.
- Do the Stalvan chain if you have not. It is where the Mistmantle name lives in the zone, and if the new instance turns out to be tied to that story, you will want it done.
- List herbs first, silk second, cloth and leather last. That is the order of scarcity on the beta.
Why the Mistmantle name matters for gold
It is fair to ask why a map with no loot deserves a gold guide. The answer is timing. New dungeons are among the best money-makers in any fresh economy, because the first groups through them sell the first copies of every tradeable drop at prices nobody has set yet. The players who make that gold are the ones who already knew the instance existed and were ready on day one.
Manor Mistmantle is the only new Forever party instance whose contents are still a blank. That makes it the one most likely to surprise people. If a later build fills it with encounters and a dungeon finder row, the first week of runs will set prices for whatever it drops, and Duskwood characters at the right level will be standing next to the door. Keeping a character parked in the 20 to 30 band, with Herbalism and some bag space, is a cheap way to be ready.
How we will price the manor when loot appears
When encounters and loot show up in a future build, here is the method we will use, and the one you can use the same day:
- Check the binding. Most old dungeon boss loot in Forever is Bind on Pickup, as our Deadmines and Scarlet Monastery pages show. Only Bind on Equip items and materials are Auction House gold.
- Check the level. If the dungeon finder entry points at a content tuning near 20 to 30, the loot competes with Duskwood blues like the Orb of Mistmantle, priced around 1 gold22 silver on the beta.
- Look for blueprints and Writs. Forever adds tradeable camp blueprints and Craftsman's Writs. If either drops here, that is likely the best sale, as the Cookie's Feast blueprint is in the Deadmines.
- Price materials against Duskwood. Any cloth or herbs from the manor will sell at Duskwood prices, because the zone outside supplies the same market.
- Wait for more than two listings before trusting any price.
Manor Mistmantle, Duskwood
Not walked yet
No hourly gold figure is published here until this route has been walked end to end with a timer and a full loot log. Until then this page gives you the inputs (live prices and what drops) and leaves the arithmetic to you.
What to watch
- The next beta build. Encounters, a dungeon finder row or a real loading screen for map 3109 would all mean the instance is being finished.
- Orb of Mistmantle. The only Mistmantle item with a price. If the instance revives interest in the Stalvan story, this old blue may move.
- Duskwood herbs. Liferoot and Kingsblood were the best paying Duskwood materials on 2026-10-08, with modest supply.
Is Manor Mistmantle worth farming?
Not yet, because there is nothing in it to farm. The client holds a map and a name, no bosses and no loot. Duskwood, on the other hand, is a perfectly good beta zone for a level 20 to 30 character: herbs pay better than cloth, and spider silk punches above its weight. We have not walked a Duskwood route either, so no rate is printed here. When the manor gets encounters, this page gets a loot table.
Changelog
- 2026-10-08: First version. Map, area, encounter and dungeon finder rows from beta build 70291; first-seen build from our new-world extracts (70009, 70058); Orb of Mistmantle binding from the Classic Era client; prices from player scans of the beta Auction House on 2026-10-08.
How this guide was written
Prices on this page are read live from TheWoWDB Auction House tables when the page loads. Item names, icons, zones and art come from our own datamine of the game client. We do not publish gold-per-hour numbers for any route nobody has walked and timed, so where a rate would go this page says so. WoW Forever is in beta: every fact here is labelled with the client build it was read from and can change before launch. Read the full method or the about page.
