Gold From Level 50 to 60 in WoW Forever: Endgame Materials, Riding at 60 and What to Stockpile
Runecloth, Thorium, Black Lotus and the elemental essences checked against WoW Forever beta scans and client recipe demand, plus the level 60 riding bill.
The short answer
The last ten levels of WoW Forever produce the materials that every raid, every endgame crafter and every consumable will need, and on the beta almost none of them have a price yet.
Black Lotus appeared once at ….
Dreamfoil had three units at 29 gold99 silver.
Thorium Bar,
Arcanite Bar,
Illusion Dust,
Felcloth and every elemental essence (Earth, Fire, Water, Air and Living Essence) had no listings at all on 2026-10-08. That empty market is the whole story of this bracket: the client already shows huge demand for these materials, so a player who reaches 60 with a stockpile will be selling into launch week instead of buying. The level 60 epic mount items cost 200 gold in the client, and the Journeyman Riding fee comes on top or in its place, so budget for that as well.
How to read this page
For the earlier brackets we compared the beta price with the vendor price. That does not work here, because most endgame materials have no beta price. Instead we rank them by what the client says they are needed for: how many recipes use each one and how many units a character would use crafting each of those recipes once. That number is a fixed fact of the game files, and it is the best guide we have to what these materials will be worth when real players reach 60.
The endgame demand table
All counts come from our extract of the beta profession tables (build 70124). Vendor prices come from the client. "Beta scan" is the newest listing on 2026-10-08, if any.

|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rugged Leather | 213 | 73 | 2,749 | 5 silver | 5 silver |

Three things the table tells you
- Thorium and Arcanite are linked. The client's Transmute: Arcanite takes one Thorium Bar and one Arcane Crystal and makes one Arcanite Bar. Arcanite Bar goes into 88 recipes, 80 of them Blacksmithing. Every Arcanite recipe therefore pulls on Thorium too, on top of Thorium's own 132 recipes. A miner who banks Thorium Bars and any Arcane Crystals that drop is sitting on both halves of the most important Blacksmithing reagent in the game.
- Essence of Water is the busiest essence. It has 73 recipes, more than any other essence, spread across Leatherworking (25), Tailoring (21), Blacksmithing and Enchanting (10 each). Essence of Earth has the most new Forever recipes, 19 of them.
- Black Lotus is rare, not widely needed. It has only 9 recipes and 13 units of total demand, mostly Alchemy flasks. Its single beta listing at 25 gold15 silver was about scarcity, not volume. Dreamfoil, at 24 recipes and 114 units, is the herb that will actually move in bulk.
Runecloth and Felcloth
Runecloth is the cloth every 50 to 60 humanoid drops, and it is the cloth that Tailors need most. Five Runecloth make one Bolt of Runecloth in the client, so the 1,379 bolts in the table stand for 6,895 Runecloth. On top of that, raw Runecloth goes into 30 recipes of its own, 16 of them Engineering and 7 Leatherworking. On 2026-10-08 there were ten Runecloth on the beta at …, which tells you nothing about launch except that nobody has any.
Felcloth is the rare cloth from demons in Felwood and similar zones in Classic. The client gives it 18 recipes, 17 of them Tailoring, at an average of nearly ten Felcloth per recipe, which is what makes it valuable: few recipes, but each one eats a lot. It had no beta listings.
Herbs at 50 to 60
| Herb | Recipes (new) | Units for one of each | Vendor | Beta scan |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dreamfoil | 24 (9) | 114 | 1 silver | 4 gold |
| Icecap | 9 (1) | 59 | 2 silver50 copper | none |
| Mountain Silversage | 13 (6) | 54 | 1 silver50 copper | none |
| Golden Sansam | 8 (6) | 26 | 1 silver | none |
| Plaguebloom | 11 (3) | 22 | 2 silver50 copper | none |
| Black Lotus | 9 (0) | 13 | 10 silver | 25 gold15 silver |
Dreamfoil is the herb to plan around. It is all Alchemy, it has the most recipes of any 50 to 60 herb, and it was the only one apart from Black Lotus with any beta listing.
Mountain Silversage has six new Forever recipes and also feeds a Cooking recipe. Icecap has few recipes but nearly seven units per recipe, so it goes in bulk.
Enchanting and the leather extras
For Enchanters,
Illusion Dust is the dust of this bracket, with 47 recipes and 471 units of total demand. Greater Eternal Essence and Large Brilliant Shard follow. None had beta listings. Enchanted Leather, which Enchanters make from Rugged Leather in Classic, appears in 119 recipes in the client, including 55 Leatherworking and 27 Blacksmithing recipes.
The rare leathers are a smaller story: Devilsaur Leather has only 5 recipes but 60 units of demand, and Righteous Orb, which vendors for 2 gold, appears in 45 recipes across five professions.
The level 60 riding bill
At 60 you can move to a swift mount. The beta client lists every epic faction mount item, such as the Palomino Bridle and the Horn of the Swift Brown Wolf, at a required level of 60 and a vendor buy price of 200 gold. The new Cerulean Prideclaw from the Skyborne packs carries the same level and price in the client. The Riding skill line adds Journeyman Riding, which the client describes as allowing swift ground mounts that need riding skill 150. The trainer's fee for Journeyman Riding is not in the files we have read. At BlizzCon, Blizzard said Forever adopts the Burning Crusade approach to mount cost, moving the up-front price into training and granting a mount when you learn the riding skill. If that applies to Journeyman Riding too, the 200 gold item may become optional and the real bill will sit with the trainer, so treat the item price below as the part we can verify today, not the whole cost.
| What you buy | Client data | Cost we can verify |
|---|---|---|
| Epic faction mount item | Required level 60 | 200 gold |
| Journeyman Riding | Swift mounts, riding skill 150 | Not in our extract yet |
| Deathcharger's Reins (a drop in Classic) | Required level 60, vendors for 25 gold | Sells back for 25 gold |
That 200 gold figure is ten times the level 40 mount item. In material terms at today's thin beta prices, it would be 400 Runecloth at 50 silver each or eight Black Lotus, but neither market is deep enough to sell that much into on the beta. The honest plan is to build the fund from the stockpile below, sold during launch week when demand peaks.
What to stockpile before 60
This is the list we would bank while levelling from 50, in order. It favours materials with large client demand, no beta supply and a decent vendor floor, so a mistake costs little.
- Thorium Bar. 132 recipes plus every Arcanite transmute. Vendor floor 6 silver.
- Rugged Leather. 213 recipes, already at its vendor floor, so holding cannot lose.
- Runecloth. 6,895 units of bolt demand plus 30 raw recipes. Vendor floor 4 silver.
- Elemental essences. Water, Fire, Earth, Air and Living Essence. Vendor floor 4 silver to 5 silver, and over 1,000 units of combined demand.
- Dreamfoil and Mountain Silversage. The bulk herbs of endgame Alchemy.
- Arcane Crystals and Black Lotus. Rare, high value, tiny bag cost. Keep every one.
Selling the stockpile without crashing it
A stockpile only pays if you sell it into demand rather than into a crowd of other sellers. The beta cannot show you that timing, so here is the order we plan to follow at launch, based on which professions need what first.
- Sell the low-tier endgame materials early. Thorium Bar and Rugged Leather are needed by every Blacksmith and Leatherworker climbing the last skill points, which happens before anyone crafts raid gear.
- Hold the essences until the first raid week. Fire resistance gear, flasks and enchants all pull on essences. Blizzard has not published a raid unlock schedule in the sources we track, but in Classic the first raid week pulled essence demand forward in one wave, and we plan for the same until a date is announced.
- List in small stacks and relist. A deep stack at a low price teaches the market that your material is cheap.
- Never sell below the vendor floor. Every material on the stockpile list has a vendor price, and the merchant takes no cut.
- Keep enough for your own crafting before you list anything. Buying Thorium back in launch week will cost more than you sold it for.

Not walked yet
No hourly gold figure is published here until this route has been walked end to end with a timer and a full loot log. Until then this page gives you the inputs (live prices and what drops) and leaves the arithmetic to you.
Reaching 60
At 60 the client awards each class's "Master" achievement for reaching level 60 for the first time, and each one is worth one Legacy Point in the Forever Legacy system, account-wide. That is not gold, but those points buy perks such as Bartering and Frequent Flier, which cut vendor and flight costs on every alt you level after. If you plan to level more than one character, read alt leveling for gold before you spend them.
Before this, read gold from level 40 to 50. If you are starting a new character, go back to gold from level 1 to 10. Gatherers should also read the best gathering professions to level with. The full lane is on the leveling gold hub, and every Forever page is on the WoW Forever gold guides index.

How this guide was written
Prices on this page are read live from TheWoWDB Auction House tables when the page loads. Item names, icons, zones and art come from our own datamine of the game client. We do not publish gold-per-hour numbers for any route nobody has walked and timed, so where a rate would go this page says so. WoW Forever is in beta: every fact here is labelled with the client build it was read from and can change before launch. Read the full method or the about page.
