The WoW Forever Black Market Auction House
What our beta data proves about the WoW Forever Black Market in Powderfuse Port, what our player scans can and cannot see, and how to budget for a bid.
Lowest buyout from player scans of the WoW Forever beta Auction House, as of beta build 70291. Beta prices are a testing economy and will not carry over to launch. Last verified
The short answer
Beta players report a Black Market Auction House in WoW Forever, run by a goblin agent in Powderfuse Port, the port town of the new Riverglades zone. Our data backs up the location: Powderfuse Port is in the beta client as a subzone of Riverglades with its own flight path. Our data does not contain the agent, the listings or any Black Market price, so every bid figure you see elsewhere is a player report. Our Auction House scans cannot see the Black Market either, because it is a separate window from the normal auction house.
What we can give you is context. On 2026-10-08 the most expensive single listings on the normal beta Auction House included a
Tiny Emerald Whelpling at 74 gold and a set of rare plans and patterns in the same range, with
Black Lotus at … as the priciest stackable material. Those are the prices a Black Market bid competes against, and they are a sensible ceiling for what most beta characters can afford.
What the client proves about Powderfuse Port
Our travel extract of the beta client lists Riverglades as a new zone on the Eastern Kingdoms continent with nineteen named subzones. Powderfuse Port is one of them, area id 16727, with an exploration level of 38. The whole zone sits in a narrow band.
| Riverglades subzone | Area id | Explore level in the client |
|---|---|---|
| Meadowsbrook, Wheeler's Grange, Southern Watch | 16735, 16725, 16744 | 36 |
| Bristle Hills | 16737 | 37 |
| Powderfuse Port, Farholde Keep, Sunnyglade, Rog'mar | 16727, 16724, 16723, 16743 | 38 |
| Eastwind Shore | 16728 | 40 |
| Windstead | 16731 | 41 |
| Bolder'ok, Krol'dok Stronghold | 16726, 17780 | 42 |
| Twilight's Shroud, Forlorn Pit | 16685, 17809 | 44 |
Blizzard describes the Riverglades as a mid level zone roughly the size of Stranglethorn Vale with nearly 200 quests, which fits those numbers. That matters for the beta. Blizzard's own beta notes put the beta level cap at 20, rising to 30 later in the beta. Powderfuse Port's explore level is 38. A level 20 to 30 character can fly or run there, but they are visiting a zone built for the high thirties, so expect the town to be the only safe ground.
The flight data adds a detail nobody else prints. The beta client has two current flight nodes named "Powderfuse Port, Riverglades", ids 3274 and 3275, both on the Eastern Kingdoms continent. It also keeps an older node, id 3208, named "zzOLDPowderfuse Port, Riverglades", and that one sits on the Kalimdor continent. A "zzOLD" prefix is how retired rows are marked in the client tables. In plain terms, Powderfuse Port was once placed on Kalimdor during development and has since moved to the Eastern Kingdoms. If you read an early beta report that puts it across the sea, that is why.

Riverglades: Eastern Kingdoms, Zone ID 16591
What our scans can and cannot see
WoW Forever has no Blizzard auction API, so every price on this site comes from player scans: a player runs our addon at the normal auction house, and we file what it saw. On 2026-10-08 our tables held one beta realm, Classic Beta PvE 2, with two houses. The newest scans were taken at 22:08 and 22:09 UTC, one per house, covering 3,370 different items, of which 2,255 were listed in both houses.
| What we track | What we have for it |
|---|---|
| Normal Auction House buyouts | Yes, lowest scanned buyout per item per house |
| Number of houses listing an item | Yes, one or two on the beta realm |
| Price history | Yes, hourly, from every scan since ingest began |
| Black Market listings | No. It is a separate window the addon does not read |
| Black Market current bid or minimum bid | No |
| What the Black Market sold for | No |
So when you see a Black Market price on this page, it is either labelled as a player report or it is a normal Auction House price used for comparison. We will never publish a Black Market number as if we had scanned it.
The prices a bid competes with
A bid on the Black Market is gold you could have spent on the normal Auction House. Here are the top end listings our scans saw on 2026-10-08, the kind of items players also report seeing on the Black Market: pets, rare recipes and gear.
| Item | Kind | Client buy price field | Latest beta scan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tiny Emerald Whelpling | Pet | 1 gold | 74 gold |
| Plans: Steel Weapon Chain | Blacksmithing plans | 38 silver | 19 gold90 silver |
| Gnomish Shrink Ray | Engineering trinket | 30 silver | … |
| Pattern: Warden's Leather Shoes | New Leatherworking pattern | 45 silver | 13 gold17 silver |
| Plans: Mithril Shield Spike | Blacksmithing plans | 80 silver | 49 gold31 silver |
| Black Lotus | Herb | 40 silver | … |
| Journeyman's Backpack | 14 slot bag | 2 gold50 silver | 22 gold |
The right hand column is what players paid attention to. On the beta, rare and limited items sell for many times their client price because there are few of them and a lot of testers with spare gold. The
Journeyman's Backpack is the cleanest example: a 14 slot bag whose buy price field is a couple of gold, listed at 22 gold. Scarcity sets beta prices far more than the client does.
How to budget for a Black Market bid
The Black Market, in the versions of WoW that had one before (Mists of Pandaria and retail), works as an auction with no buyout: you bid, other players outbid you, and the highest bid when the timer runs out wins. In those versions it was designed as a gold sink. Player reports from the Forever beta describe the same bidding model. Treat it like that and plan your gold around three rules.
- Decide your ceiling before you open the window. Look up the item on the normal Auction House first. If our scans show it listed, a Black Market bid above 74 gold for a pet that is also on the normal house is gold thrown away.
- Never bid your swift mount fund. A swift mount item carries 200 gold in the client. On a level 20 to 30 beta character that is the most important purchase you are saving for. Our riding cost guide has the numbers.
- Assume you will be outbid. On a busy beta realm the last minute matters. Bid what the item is worth to you, not what you hope it will close at.
| Your situation | What to do |
|---|---|
| You have under 200 gold and no swift mount yet | Do not bid. Save. |
| The item is also on the normal Auction House | Buy it there, at the scanned price. |
| The item is unique to the Black Market and you want it | Set a ceiling and bid once near the end. |
| You want to make gold, not spend it | Ignore the Black Market. It removes gold. |
Why the Black Market matters to a gold maker
The Black Market does not make you gold directly. It matters because it pulls gold out of the richest players on the realm, which lowers what they can spend on the normal Auction House, and because the items it sells set a public price for rare things. If a pet or a mount closes for a large sum on the Black Market, every copy of that item on the normal house can be priced against it.
That gives you two practical habits.
- Watch what closes. When you see a high closing bid reported for an item that also drops in the world, check whether you can farm or buy it below that level. Our scans will show the normal house price; the gap is the opportunity.
- Sell into the wealth. The players who bid big on the Black Market are the same players who buy convenience: bags, consumables and materials for their crafts. Keep those stocked. See the beta Auction House guide for how we read beta prices.
Powderfuse Port is also where players report the goblin reagent seller Mister Graphed. If you are in town for the Black Market, check his stock too. Our Mister Graphed page lists what the client can and cannot prove about him.

Mistakes beta players make at the Black Market
The beta is a cheap place to learn how this window punishes impatience. These are the patterns worth avoiding before the same system costs you real launch gold.
- Bidding early. An early bid tells every other bidder the item has a buyer. It rarely wins and it often raises the final price. If you want something, bid late and bid once.
- Bidding on things that drop. Rare recipes such as
Plans: Steel Weapon Chain and
Plans: Mithril Shield Spike come from the world in Classic. If the same plans show up on the normal Auction House, our scans will show it, and the normal house has a buyout. A Black Market win on an item you could have bought outright is a loss. - Forgetting the beta resets. Nothing you win on the beta comes with you to launch on 2026-11-04. Spend beta gold to learn the system, not to collect.
- Mixing up the two Powderfuse services. The Black Market agent runs an auction. Mister Graphed, by player reports, runs a fixed price shop. A fixed price is a ceiling for the whole realm; an auction is not.
- Ignoring the travel cost. Riverglades sits at explore levels 36 to 44 in the client. On a level 20 character every trip is a risk, so check the window when you are already in town rather than flying in for one bid.
The rule under all of these is the same one that runs every good Auction House habit: know the price elsewhere before you commit gold. For the Black Market, "elsewhere" is the normal house, and our scans exist to give you that number.
What we will add
We want this page to be the most accurate Black Market page for Forever, which means only adding what we can prove.
- The agent. When the agent's creature record turns up in our datamine or creature cache, we will add the name, id and title.
- Listings. If our addon gains a Black Market reader, we will publish real listings and closing bids with scan times.
- Riverglades art. The beta client ships maps for fifteen zones so far, and Riverglades is not one of them yet. When it lands, its map goes here.
Until then, use the Black Market for what it is on the beta: a place to spend testing gold on rare things, priced by people with more gold than they need. The money is made on the other side of the counter.
Changelog
- 2026-10-08: First version. Riverglades subzones and flight nodes from our travel extract (client build 69977), item prices from the beta client (build 70291), scan facts and prices from the newest player scans of Classic Beta PvE 2. The Black Market itself is described from player reports only.
- 2026-10-08: Review pass: softened the top listing claim (one unnamed item listed higher); Riverglades subzones, flight nodes and scan facts re-checked.
How this guide was written
Prices on this page are read live from TheWoWDB Auction House tables when the page loads. Item names, icons, zones and art come from our own datamine of the game client. We do not publish gold-per-hour numbers for any route nobody has walked and timed, so where a rate would go this page says so. WoW Forever is in beta: every fact here is labelled with the client build it was read from and can change before launch. Read the full method or the about page.
