Creators disagree on ![]()
Tailoring. One ranks it the best alt-army profession of the expansion; another calls its crafting dead because the Moxie bag is worth so little. Both are right: bolts and cloth pay, general crafting does not.

Arcanoweave Bolt
are daily-cooldown crafts. They feed spellthreads, bags, high-end gear and housing decor, so demand holds all expansion.
- Put

Enchant Tool - Haranir Multicrafting on your tool. Bolts can multicraft. - In

Nimble Needlework, pick ONE bolt and max it. The two were expected to sell about evenly, so check the table below and take the one that is pricier on your realm. - Take the bottom recovery-time node in that tree so the cooldown comes back faster.
- Move to

Fiber Arts: the multicraft node first, then resourcefulness. Skip Fashion Genius unless you craft with concentration, because it only adds ingenuity. - In

Fabric Specialist, take the "otherworldly cloth" node. Each point adds 1 multicraft to every Midnight tailoring recipe, so it helps pure crafters too. - Log in each day, craft the bolt on every tailor and mail the bolts to one seller.

Do not spend concentration on rank 2 bolts. The rank gap is small. Spend it on spellthreads if you have the pattern, and use bolts only as a concentration dump when nothing better is ready.

Sunfire Silk Spellthread
and ![]()
Arcanoweave Spellthread
are leg enchants that each use 8 cooldown bolts per craft.
- Learn the pattern (

Pattern: Sunfire Silk Spellthread or
Pattern: Arcanoweave Spellthread). - Take the Fiber Arts spellthread node for stats and skill toward rank 2.
- Price 8 bolts against one spellthread with the table below. Craft only when the spellthread beats the bolts plus your other reagents.
- Spend concentration here, not on bolts.
- Post one or two at a time. These are expensive items that sell a few per day.

Cloth looting: tailors only

Only tailors loot cloth from humanoids, which keeps ![]()
Sunfire Silk
and ![]()
Arcanoweave
off most players' loot tables.
- Learn

Tailoring and finish the first-pickup quest. Choose the cloth bag reward for cheap early skill-ups. - At skill 50, open Nimble Needlework and learn the Arcanoweave and Sunfire Silk weaving nodes. You only need to learn them, not level them; without them the rare cloth cannot drop.
- Spend the rest in Fabric Specialist. Each point there adds 1 percent to cloth drop chance. Its two side nodes split the zones: one covers Eversong Woods and Zul'Aman, the other covers the remaining Midnight zones. Take the one for where you play.
- Play as usual: delves, dungeons, world quests. Sell the cloth raw; a new tailor should not turn it into bolts.
- At max level with some gear, join premade-group cloth farms (search "cloth farm" in the group finder). Groups kill far faster than solo, and cloth farming only pays at kill speed.

Cloth prices fell hard from launch as more tailors reached the cloth nodes. Fast-respawn camps get nerfed, so do not build a routine around one spot.

- Swap to a resourcefulness tool. Bags, gear and crafting orders cannot multicraft.
- Craft about four of each bag. Two bags use cooldown bolts; the

Imbued Bright Linen Backpack line uses Imbued Bright Linen instead. - Post them on your home realm and repost as each one sells. Listing 100 at once only crashes your own price.
- Craft linings in batches of 50 to 100 and let them sell over several days.

Arcanoweave Lining
sells slowly but steadily; post a batch and refill it when it runs low.
Know which market you are in. Bolts, linings and spellthreads are commodities that sell region-wide, so a large batch is fine and one undercut reaches every buyer. Bags are realm items: each realm is its own small market, so a few per realm, reposted, beats a big dump. Move spare bags to an alt on a second realm through the warband bank. The selling guide covers both markets.

Patron orders and the weekly bag
- Fill tailoring patron orders on reset day. They are cheap to fill and often profitable, and they pay Moxie and knowledge points.
- Pick up the weekly profession quest before you fill orders so they count toward it.
- Buy

Master Tailor's Surplus Reagents with the Moxie. It is one of the cheaper Moxie bags, but it is still free gold.
When it stops working
- If 8 bolts are worth more than a spellthread, sell the bolts.
- If a bag sits unsold for three days, stop crafting that bag.
- If raw cloth drops below what it takes to farm it in your time, stop farming and just loot what you meet.
Daily and weekly checklist
- Daily: craft the cooldown bolt on every tailor.
- Daily: repost bags and spellthreads that sold.
- Weekly: patron orders, weekly quest, Moxie bag, knowledge points into Nimble Needlework and Fiber Arts.
For the full reset-day routine across professions, see the Midnight weekly gold checklist.
Questions
Is Tailoring worth it in Midnight Season 2?
For cooldown bolts on alts and for cloth looting on a main, yes. For mass-crafting gear, no; its crafting margins and Moxie bag are among the weakest.
Sunfire Silk Bolt or Arcanoweave Bolt?
Max one per tailor. They sell for similar prices; check both rows in the table and pick the pricier one on your realm.
Can non-tailors loot cloth in Midnight?
No. Only tailors loot cloth from humanoids, and the rare cloth only drops after you learn the Arcanoweave and Sunfire Silk weaving nodes.
Should I spend concentration on bolts?
Only as a last resort. The rank 1 to rank 2 gap on bolts is small, so concentration earns more on spellthreads.
